Based on the issue of climate change, Nila Madhab Panda’s ‘Kadvi Hawa’ looks like a dark tale of the villagers of Bundelkhand region who are bearing the brunt of this gruesome conversion. Starring Sanjai Mishra, Ranvir Shorey and Tillotama Shome in lead roles, ‘Kadvi Hawa’, got a Special Mention at the 64th National Film Awards too.

The trailer of the film shows that the extreme change in climate in the past few years has caused immense problems for the villagers in the area. While one man is struggling due to lack of water, the other is struggling because his family has drowned in the ocean due to rising water levels. The children in the village don’t even recognise monsoon as a season as they have seen it for just a couple of days in the entire year. The trailer gives the impression that the film would be a dark sinister story that will leave the audience introspecting about the severe affects of climate change.

Director Nila Madhab Panda received immense praise for his directorial debut, ‘I Am Kalam’ (2011). His 2012 film, ‘Jalpari: The Desert Mermaid’ also received acclaim in the international film circuit. With the National Award recognition for ‘Kadvi Hawa’, the film is being expected to amaze its audience. And a stellar cast in place, gives us no doubt that the film will be packed with some mind-blowing performances.
